The central question of this stakeholder visioning process was whether some of Cleveland’s most influential institutions—all located on the Collinwood Lakefront—could come together to accomplish something collectively that neither they, nor the broader community, could do alone. The schemes developed are the refined explorations of civic and institutional stakeholders that came together in good faith to discuss how collaboration could be beneficial to the neighborhood and region. Consensus was achieved on a number of fronts during the process and seeds were sown as a result. Those seeds will hopefully bear fruit as the partners shore up their own plans and strategic directions in ways that advance collective goals for the study area. Beyond campus planning, the partners identified myriad programmatic collaborations that could be explored (and potentially implemented) immediately.
